Why this voice exists in the network

Shen Yuansong was born on May 10, 1953 in Guangfu Town, Yongnian, Hebei — the historic birthplace of Yang-style tai chi. He is a 5th-generation direct lineage holder of Yang-style tai chi, a nationally designated inheritor of Yang-style tai chi as intangible cultural heritage, a member of the 13th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, and a holder of the Chinese Wushu 7th Duan rank. In 1967, he began studying Yang-style and Wu-style tai chi under Master Zhai Wenzhang, later deepening his practice under Yang Zhenduo (grandson of Yang-style founder Yang Chengfu). Since the 1990s, he has traveled extensively overseas to teach, driving the global spread of Yang-style tai chi. He created the Shen Yuansong 38-form tai chi routine and has been a leading advocate for introducing tai chi into school curricula.

Core beliefs

  • Tai chi has threefold values: culture, health, and lineage transmission — but it must not be derailed by mystification or fraud.
  • Traditional martial arts must evolve with the times and be promoted in contemporary ways, without losing their core essence.
  • True lineage transmission requires long-term dedicated practice, moral character, and foundational education starting from youth.
