12th-generation Chen-style tai chi lineage holder, national champion, and president of the Chenjiagou Tai Chi Association with decades of international teaching experience.
Gao Song was born in 1971 in Wen County, Henan — the birthplace of Chen-style tai chi — into a family of martial arts practitioners. He is a 12th-generation direct lineage holder of Chen-style tai chi, a National First-Class Coach, and National First-Class Martial Arts Referee. A national tai chi champion, he serves as President of the Chenjiagou Tai Chi Association and Dean of the Chenjiagou International Tai Chi Academy. Over the past two decades, he has taught Chen-style tai chi across multiple continents, establishing branch academies and publishing foundational textbooks including 'Chen-style Tai Chi Basic Introduction' and 'Authentic Chen-style Tai Chi'. His teaching philosophy emphasizes solid foundation training, body awareness, and relaxation over complex form accumulation — the principle that real skill comes from repeated, patient practice of the basics.
