Litha

Litha is one of the eight sabbats of the Wheel of the Year, the pagan seasonal cycle observed by modern pagans and Wiccans. It falls on or near the summer solstice, between June 20 and 23, and marks the height of the Sun's power.

In this Atlas, Litha is understood through its timing rather than as a standalone custom. It is the summer solstice festival: the registry declares Litha and the summer solstice as related, and declares the winter solstice as the opposite point on the same wheel. The Atlas records the sabbat's rituals as marking the solstice, which places Litha inside the same ritual layer it shares with the solar terms.

That is the reason this entity carries a relationship to the season rather than only a name. A sabbat is a way of noticing a solstice, and the solstice is what the seasonal layer of the Atlas already knows how to describe. Litha is the observance attached to that turning point.

The Atlas does not extend Litha beyond that relationship. It is registered here as a seasonal festival anchored to the solstice, and its seasonal reading is carried by the season itself rather than asserted separately.
